iDiversity Consulting Can help provide training and support to help with understand your disability and help it become a positive within your life and work.

The goal of a Disability Impact Training session is to help participants overcome obstacles and implement behavioural and attitude changes in order to adopt a more optimistic outlook. These 90-minute, one-on-one sessions are solutions oriented and designed to help the client gain a better understanding of their ability to work, their own resilience and strength, and the broader effects of working with a disability or health condition.

By gaining knowledge about their Disability and its effects, the client will be better equipped to develop and implement self-help techniques, adopt a more optimistic outlook, and see their challenges from a different angle, all of which will help them transition to the workplace more successfully.

The goal of Disability impact training is to assist clients in accepting their condition and how it affects their personal and professional lives. Goal-planning, acceptance and commitment therapy techniques, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural approaches, and solution-focused practices may all be incorporated into the custom, co-created session material between the client and the facilitator.

This approach is especially beneficial for individuals who have recently been diagnosed with a disability, are managing multiple health conditions, or are living with a chronic illness characterised by fluctuating levels of severity.

It provides them with the tools, resources, and support needed to navigate the complexities of their condition while adapting to the changes in their daily lives. For those newly diagnosed, it can help ease the transition and offer guidance on how to manage their diagnosis effectively. For individuals with multiple diseases, it addresses the unique challenges of balancing treatments, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.

Meanwhile, for those with unpredictable chronic illnesses, it offers strategies to cope with variability, ensuring that they can maintain as much independence, stability, and quality of life as possible.
