Goal-planning, acceptance and commitment therapy techniques, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural approaches, and solution-focused practices may all be incorporated into the custom, co-created session material between the client and the facilitator.

Impact training: Support for Navigating Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses

This approach is especially beneficial for individuals who have recently been diagnosed with a disability, are managing multiple health conditions, or are living with a chronic illness characterised by fluctuating levels of severity.

It provides them with the tools, resources, and support needed to navigate the complexities of their condition while adapting to the changes in their daily lives. For those newly diagnosed, it can help ease the transition and offer guidance on how to manage their diagnosis effectively. For individuals with multiple diseases, it addresses the unique challenges of balancing treatments, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.

Meanwhile, for those with unpredictable chronic illnesses, it offers strategies to cope with variability, ensuring that they can maintain as much independence, stability, and quality of life as possible.
