support quickly to individuals with health conditions related to pain, anxiety or depression as well as long-term health conditions. This course is designed to help them return to, remain in and be productive at work or in education.
The Wellmind Health team is dedicated to providing high-quality digital tools which have a real and lasting impact on individuals’ lives and improve outcomes relating to employment and education. These tools can also form part of a coaching programme delivered by iDiversity Consulting Ltd.

About Pathway through pain
Pathway through Pain is an accessible digital treatment that helps participants respond more effectively to chronic musculoskeletal pain for a better quality of life. It delivers all the elements of an intensive Pain Management Programme (PMP).
The objective of the program is for participants to improve their health questionnaire scores for Anxiety (GAD-7), Depression (PHQ-9) and Musculoskeletal Health (MSK-HQ). This is achieved through the practice of pain self-management methods, exercise, lifestyle changes and cognitive approaches learnt throughout the program.
The program is a standalone intervention or works in conjunction with existing treatments to help reduce the need for pain medication and face-to-face appointments.

Pathway through Pain is recommended by NICE as a digital technology for managing non-specific low back pain that can be commissioned in the NHS while more evidence is being generated following an appraisal via NICE’s – Early Value Assessment (EVA) programme.
Enabling Proactive Person-Centred Support
At iDiversity, we know how to develop and resource individuals with health coaching and person-centred skills, expertise and practice – and how impactful it is!
To implement these proactive approaches, we also recognise that individuals often need to overcome pain in the workplace, constraints and ways of working, that inhibit new styles of practice. This is especially important with people suffering with long-term health conditions.
Drawing on our extensive experience of applying positive change through coaching, we offer an innovative 6 session coaching package to accompany the Wellmind 24 step Pathway Through Pain program and its participants to further enhance their person-centred care.
Coaching Program Aim
To provide personalised support, motivation, and accountability for participants completing the Wellmind Pathway Through Pain program, helping to apply strategies in real life and manage emotional, physical, and psychological aspects of chronic pain & long-term health conditions.
Session 1: Introduction & Goal Setting
Focus: Orientation, rapport-building, baseline assessment
Objectives: Understand the client’s pain experience and life impact Explore expectations of the Wellmind Pathway Through Pain program and coaching Identify values and set SMART goals for managing pain
Session 2: Understanding Pain & Mindset Shifts
Focus: Building understanding of pain science and emotional regulation
Objectives: Discuss learning from the course on pain mechanisms (e.g., brain-body connection) Address unhelpful beliefs and emotional responses to pain Explore mindset shifts (e.g., acceptance vs. resistance)
Session 3: Daily Routines & Pacing Strategies
Focus: Activity planning, building resilience , and energy conservation
Objectives: To Build Resilience techniques to daily life Identify overactivity-rest cycles and flare-up patterns Design a balanced weekly routine.
Session 4: Stress & Emotional Coping Techniques
Focus: Stress response, emotional regulation, relaxation
Objectives: Review course content on stress-pain interaction Coach client in using relaxation techniques and emotional coping skills Identify emotional triggers and healthy coping responses.
Session 5: Sleep, Nutrition & Movement
Focus: Lifestyle integration of healthy habits
Objectives: Explore sleep hygiene strategies Reflect on relationship between nutrition, movement and pain Identify small, sustainable lifestyle changes.
Session 6: Review, Resilience & Maintenance Planning
Focus: Celebrate progress, build resilience, plan for long-term success
Objectives: Review goals and celebrate achievements Identify barriers to maintaining changes Create a personalised pain management maintenance plan.
