About
At iDiversity, we believe everyone deserves the chance to thrive in their job role. Our workplace needs assessments give employees and employers a clear, practical route to help employees achieve their full potential.
A workplace needs assessment is a one-to-one meeting with a specialist assessor, designed to work out what support someone needs to do their job well. It looks at the person, their role and their working environment so that the recommendations which follow are the right fit for the individual.
Our experienced assessors meet with each employee for a two hour needs assessment, followed by a comprehensive written report with specific, achievable recommendations to support them in the workplace.
We look closely at the working environment, technology, working practices and any adjustments already in place. Our recommendations range from simple changes to working practices through to specialist assistive technology

What happens during a Workplace Needs Assessment
A Workplace Needs Assessment is a relaxed and supportive conversation designed to understand how you work and identify any barriers you may be experiencing in the workplace. Below gives you a detailed outline of what to expect during and after the assessment.

We’ll have a detailed conversation with the employee to understand their role, key responsibilities and typical working environment.
This helps us build a clear picture of their day-to-day activities, the tasks they regularly carry out and any challenges or barriers they may experience while working.

We’ll explore suitable workplace adjustments based on the employee’s individual needs and the demands of their role. Recommendations may include ergonomic equipment, assistive technology, changes to working practices, specialist training or coaching.
Where appropriate, we may also recommend disability awareness sessions to help managers and colleagues better understand an employee’s needs and create a more inclusive and supportive working environment.

Following the assessment, we’ll provide a clear and detailed report outlining our findings and recommendations.
Where appropriate, the report will also include a quotation for any recommended equipment, assistive technology, training, coaching or other workplace adaptations, giving the employer the information they need to consider and implement the recommended support.

We’ll recommend practical workplace strategies to help the employee overcome any challenges or barriers identified during the assessment.
This may include alternative ways of approaching particular tasks, developing effective working practices, or introducing strategies to support organisation, communication and productivity.
What makes our Workplace Needs Assessment Unique
We know that no two people, roles or workplaces are the same. That’s why our Workplace Needs Assessments go beyond simply identifying equipment or adjustments.
We take a truly individual approach, looking at the whole picture to understand the employee, their role and their working environment. Our focus is on finding practical, personalised solutions that make a meaningful and lasting difference at work.
